Champions to End Malaria
Platon worked with The Roll Back Malaria partnership and the UN Foundation’s Nothing But Nets program to showcase some of the hundreds of thousands of champions who are helping save lives by preventing malaria. The Champions to End Malaria exhibit displayed at the United Nations from April 25th, World Malaria Day, through May 22nd, 2011. Many world leaders and policy makers, including UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-Moon, attended. The exhibit celebrated the efforts which led to a thirty percent reduction in Malaria deaths from 2000 - 2010, and further raised awareness of the disease among policy makers in donor countries. Champions to End Malaria was directed and funded by ExxonMobil.
